Imagining innovation in the city

This year’s exhibition is hosted by The Creative School, with leadership from Colangelo and his team. Located in the heart of Toronto, The Creative School provides a unique landscape for the event to transpire.

“The Creative School is right next to the densest concentration of Media Architecture in Canada: Yonge Dundas Square,” Colangelo remarked.

Throughout the month of June, Yonge-Dundas Square will act as a gallery for video (external link, opens in new window)  and photography works by Image Arts students. Every night from 11 p.m. to midnight, several screens in the square including Cadillac Fairview’s main screen (external link, opens in new window)  will display visuals created by students from The Creative School’s Film and Photography programs.

Assembly Gallery

The Assembly Gallery at The Creative School located on the main floor of the Image Arts building at 122 Bond Street will host the MAB23 Exhibition, featuring a prototype of the LED sculpture on display in College Park, a project that was commissioned by MAB23 sponsor  StrongLED (external link, opens in new window)  and built by students in TMU’s Architectural Science department.

All are welcome to attend the Assembly Gallery on Thursday, June 22 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the exhibition and book launch party. The exhibition and launch party is free and open to all TMU community members.

The book launch will celebrate two new publications produced specifically for the Biennale.
