Refashioning Canada: Past and Future is a collaborative window display curated by Cheryl Thompson and Caron Phinney that pairs Black fashion history with current Black fashion designers at The Creative School. The exhibit includes a montage of Thompson's five-page feature in Canada's History (Feb-Mar issue) on Black and Caribbean designers and models in the 1970s through 1990s, and displays garments designed by current and alumni Black Fashion students. The exhibit is a prelude to an in-person discussion that will take place in March at the The Fashion Zone, organized by The Laboratory for Black Creativity and the Black Students Fashion Association.
