Give to Grad

Give to Graduate Studies

By supporting The Creative School Graduate Studies today you enable us to recruit the best students and faculty and offer a premier education.

The Creative School greatly appreciates the generous support shown by our alumni, friends, faculty and staff. Your gifts to the graduate programs at our School directly support student scholarships, awards and bursaries, chairs and professorships, programs and research, new facilities, and the purchase of critical technology and equipment. Your continued support guarantees that our unique Grad programs will remain at the heart of the evolution of cultural industries for generations to come.

"Receiving this scholarship will allow [me] to worry less about the financial costs associated with pursuing the program and [to] have a better chance of excelling in my academics. [I'm] very thankful for receiving the support of the program and can’t wait to start."

Designate Your Gift

When you establish an endowment fund, you create a permanent legacy of support. It is a gift of lasting impact, providing ongoing opportunity at the university. Invested for the long term, an endowment generates annual interest income which is used to support the donor’s preferred initiative – a student award, a research or teaching chair, a professorship, or other priorities. The endowment provides the university with a reliable foundation of support, ensuring for the donor that the impact of their giving will be sustained.

An endowment fund is established when a donor(s) makes a contribution of $25,000 or more. Donors may make a gift of any size to strengthen an existing endowment fund that reflects their interests.

A planned gift is a charitable donation that can be arranged during your lifetime, but is not available to Toronto Metropolitan University until sometime in the future. Planned gifts often enable donors to make significant gifts while also fulfilling important tax and financial goals. The most common type of planned gift is a bequest, but there others including: charitable remainder trusts, gifts of residual interest, life insurance, and gifts of RRIFs and RRSPs.

A gift to Toronto Met in honour or in memory of someone is a meaningful way to support the university. You may honour a colleague or friend, commemorate a life event, or pay tribute to someone special.

Many companies set up charitable giving programs to match employee donations because they want to support the causes that are important to their employees. It’s a great way to get more bang for your philanthropic buck. Double or even triple the impact of your gift to Toronto Met with the help of your employer. Some companies will even match gifts contributed by spouses or retired employees. Does your company offer matching gifts?

The donations you have made as a faculty member or staff person have made all the difference to the university. Your generosity supports hundreds of students who require financial assistance each year plus many other important priorities across campus. Your ongoing support will continue to have enormous impact.
