A planned gift is a charitable donation that can be arranged during your lifetime, but is not available to Toronto Metropolitan University until sometime in the future. Planned gifts often enable donors to make significant gifts while also fulfilling important tax and financial goals. The most common type of planned gift is a bequest, but there others including: charitable remainder trusts, gifts of residual interest, life insurance, and gifts of RRIFs and RRSPs.

A gift to Toronto Met in honour or in memory of someone is a meaningful way to support the university. You may honour a colleague or friend, commemorate a life event, or pay tribute to someone special.  

Many companies set up charitable giving programs to match employee donations because they want to support the causes that are important to their employees. It’s a great way to get more bang for your philanthropic buck. Double or even triple the impact of your gift to Toronto Met with the help of your employer.
