Facilities
The EDC maintains access to the audio and video facilities in the Rogers Communications Centre.
Failure to leave the facilities in the state of which you found it will result in an Improper Use Fine (opens in new window) .
Allan Slaight Radio Institute
The Allan Slaight Radio Institute is RTA's centre for radio broadcasting. It is home to SpiritLive & four radio control rooms.
SpiritLive is a 24/7 online broadcast featuring original content produced by students of the RTA School of Media. Access is maintained by the SpirtLive team.
Must be booked via patron portal
Radio Control 4 is the largest radio control room in the ASRI with 4 microphones. It also connects with the Interview Room, which is shared with SpirtLive.
To use the Interview Room, users of SpiritLive and Radio Control 4 must book the Interview Room with the EDC.
Radio Control 3 is one of the larger radio rooms. The control room is equipped with 2 microphones and the adjoining interview room contains an additional 4 microphones.
Radio Control 1 & 2 are equipped with 2 microphones in the control room and 2 in the interview room.
Advanced Audio
The Multitrack Studio consists of the Multitrack Control Room and the Multitrack Recording Studio. Both rooms are booked under the resources "Multitrack".
Equipment located in Multitrack is not to be removed or used outside of the Multitrack Studio.
Multitrack can be used in conjunction with the Auxiliary Studio Room (booked separately).
The Auxiliary Studio Room is an optional breakout room connected to the Multitrack Studio or Mixing 2, with trunk lines leading to both studios.
This room can be used as a rehearsal room when booked separately.
Mixing 2 can be used in conjunction with the Auxiliary Studio Room (booked separately).
The Foley Studio includes the Foley Control Room and the Foley live floor.
Both rooms are booked out separately as control room and studio floor.
Immersive audio suite with 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos mixing capability
Personal Production Suite 3 (RCC 346E) & Suite 4 (RCC 346F) can be used as voice over booths in conjunction with this suite (booked separately).

TV Studios & Shoot Spaces
Arthur Smith Virtual Production Studio (Studio A)
RCC 187 can be used as a shoot space outside of class hours.
Studio B is an open space and partial TV Studio. Students can book out this space when not used for classes.
