About OSCAResearch Centre
Founded and directed by Dr. Hossein Zolfagharinia from the Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), the Operations & Supply Chain Analytics Research (OSCAResearch) Centre is a hub of innovative research dedicated to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations and supply chains.
The core team includes Dr. Mohammad Nikoofal and Dr. Xingwei (Nancy) Yang from the Ted Rogers School, Dr. Saman Hassanzadeh Amin from TMU’s Mechanical, Industrial and Mechatronics Engineering department, and Dr. Aida Haghighi from the School of Occupational Health and Safety at TMU. Together, these experts bring a multidisciplinary approach to the Centre's initiatives, ensuring comprehensive solutions to complex supply chain challenges. OSCAResearch Centre is committed to developing new algorithms and software tools tailored to the unique challenges of operations and supply chain management, leveraging data analytics and optimization techniques to drive informed decision-making.
Our mission
Aligned with TMU’s commitment to excellence in scholarly, research and creative activities, the mission of the OSCAResearch Centre is to:
Conduct innovative research and develop cutting-edge tools to enhance the performance, efficiency and sustainability of operations and supply chains.
Identify and employ data analytics techniques, such as machine learning and text mining, along with simulation and optimization tools to assist businesses and their supply chains in improving their decision-making capabilities, reducing waste, mitigating risk, and enhancing overall performance.
Partner with industry, government and other academic institutions to be at the forefront of research and innovation in operations and supply chain management while training the next generation of leaders in this critical and dynamic field.
