Ted Rogers School launches Top Co-op Employer Awards

The Ted Rogers Co-op program announced the winners of its inaugural Top Co-op Employer Awards, recognizing the partnership between education and industry to create unique experiential learning opportunities for students.
The awards, presented by the Ted Rogers School of Management, went to just over 40 companies in four categories, with employers ranging across multiple industries from major banks, consulting firms and government agencies to law firms and retail brands. View the full list here.
“Experiential learning is essential to the unique education students receive at the Ted Rogers School of Management. We have the biggest and best undergraduate business co-op program in Canada, and our employer-partners have a key role in helping our students graduate ready for work,” said Cynthia Holmes, Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management.
Winning employers receive an invitation for two employees to attend a complimentary exclusive Executive Education Xcelerator workshop, provided by the Ted Rogers School’s Executive and Corporate Education program. As well, they receive a digital badge recognizing their company’s achievement.
“Co-op is a unique partnership between employers and educators that gives the right mix of education and insight to ensure student participants graduate with the skills they need to succeed and to contribute to any enterprise,” said Donna Muirhead, Director of Co-operative Education and Careers at the Ted Rogers School. “We couldn’t do it without these employer partners and we take great pride in our students and what they contribute to the workplace.”
The Ted Rogers School of Management is home to Canada’s largest business co-operative education programs with 2,400+ student participants. Designed with industry leaders, the program ensures students are equipped with the skills to meet the changing needs of today’s business world.
On average, students who participate in the program work earn $51,000 over a 16-month work term. In the past seven years, the Ted Rogers Co-op program has, through its employers, paid out more than $160 million to student participants.
