The Ted Rogers School of Management’s innovative integration of Salesforce to maximize graduate employment outcomes took centre stage at a recent international conference.

Olivia Baratta and Medhat Sedarose from the Ted Rogers School’s Business Career Hub had the unique opportunity to present at this year’s Salesforce Education Summit (external link, opens in new window) , representing one of just two Canadian schools selected.

Salesforce is a customer relationship management tool that assists in building connection and responsiveness to community needs. Its annual Education Summit is a global convening of trailblazers to share stories, knowledge and innovation focused on empowering institutions to drive efficiency, growth and productivity.

Baratta (Business Analyst) and Sedarose (Senior Manager, Ted Rogers Co-op) presented on “Maximizing Graduate Employment Outcomes” at this year’s summit, held May 13-15 in San Diego, California, which featured more than 90 sessions. “Last year, there were no Canadian schools selected to present at the event, so it is a tremendous honour to take the stage alongside renowned schools like Yale, Dartmouth and Berkeley,” says Baratta.

In their presentation in front of 125 attendees, Baratta and Sedarose shared the strategic communications framework they built using Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Tableau) to efficiently collect and measure Ted Rogers Co-op graduate outcomes within six months of graduation. This allows the team to celebrate the success of the program, while also ensuring an efficient and seamless data transition for Alumni Relations and Advancement to drive engagement and build new partnerships.

“Our model breaks down silos to share data for a more connected and supportive experience during their co-op journey, to and after graduation,” explains Baratta.

Sedarose says he was grateful for the opportunity to represent the Ted Rogers School at this conference. “It gave us the chance to showcase in a collegial environment, with higher education institutions and other organizations from around the world, the innovation and creativity coming out of our school.”

This is not the first time the Ted Rogers School has been represented at a Salesforce Education Summit. In 2022, Shabnam Ahmad received the Community Champion Award for leveraging  Salesforce products to make data-informed decisions in the Fit for Business program.
