Congratulations to the Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The school placed third overall in Canada in ShanghaiRanking’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.

“We are happy to see those results; this ranking demonstrates continuous progress and consistency over the years. It is rewarding for colleagues who work hard to conduct research that matters in hospitality and tourism management. In addition, it helps put Ted Rogers School on the international academic map,” says Frederic Dimanche, director of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

The ShanghaiRanking Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) (external link)  ranks universities in 55 subjects across natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences and social sciences. More than 1,900 out of 5,000 universities across 104 countries and regions are listed in this year’s rankings.

The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management is ranked #2 in "Categorized Normalized of Citation Impact" and in "International Collaboration.” The school is among the three best-ranked subjects at TMU, with "Telecommunication Engineering" and "Transportation Science and Technology."

The ShanghaiRankings GRAS rankings use objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure the performance of world universities in respective subjects, including research output, research influence, international collaboration, research quality and international academic awards.
