The Ted Rogers School of Management is saddened by the recent passing of Loretta Rogers, matriarch of the Rogers family and longtime director at telecom giant Rogers Communications Inc. She was the wife of the late Ted Rogers, the namesake of our school.
Loretta’s impact at the Ted Rogers School has been deep and long lasting. We are immensely grateful for her and her family’s commitment and generosity that expanded opportunities for our students through scholarships and awards, strengthened our career and leadership programs, and supported our research through The Loretta Rogers Research Chair Program.
The Loretta Rogers Research Chair Program, which was established in 2007 and made possible through a significant leadership gift from the Rogers family, attracts outstanding scholars to advance and enrich innovative and societally relevant research and learning experiences at Ted Rogers School.
"We are so grateful for the support that Loretta Rogers and the Rogers family have provided to our school,” says Daphne Taras, Dean, Ted Rogers School. “I truly appreciate the impact her life and work have had here at the Ted Rogers School and want to extend our deepest condolences to her family. Loretta was a kind and generous person who had a meaningful impact on the evolution of our school. She will be missed."
We are appreciative of Loretta Rogers’ longstanding dedication to providing opportunities and support to our students and researchers, and send our deepest condolences and sympathy to the Rogers family.
