Anatoliy Gruzd Named Member of College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists
TRSM’s Anatoliy Gruzd, professor of Business Management and director of the external,Social Media Lab (external link) , has been named by the Royal Society of Canada (RSC) as a member of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists.
The RSC named 70 new members to the 2017 cohort, who “represent the emerging generation of scholarly, scientific and artistic leadership in Canada.”
Gruzd was named a member for his leading contributions to social media research: “As external,Canada Research Chair in Social Media Data Stewardship, Anatoliy Gruzd is trying to better understand how we collect, store, analyze, publish, and preserve this data. Gruzd’s research will provide companies and decision-makers with a clear framework for collecting and using social media data for business and research purposes.”
Ryerson Physics professor Catherine Beauchemin was also named a member of the College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists, while Ryerson Professor Bin Wu was named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada for his contributions to the field of electrical and computer engineering. external,Read more on the Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation website.
