Ted Rogers School of Management launches Professional Master's Diploma in Accounting accredited by CPA Ontario

Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management (TRSM) is launching a new Professional Master’s Diploma in Accounting that has received accreditation by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) under the CPA National Recognition and Accreditation Standards for Post-Secondary Institutions, enabling graduates to accelerate their accounting careers and advance their standing in the CPA program.

“CPA accreditation continues the incredible upward trajectory of our School of Accounting & Finance and showcases the strength, academic rigour and excellence of our accounting program,” said Dean Steven Murphy. “Our students can continue their professional accounting education at TRSM and accelerate their path to the CPA designation with this new graduate program offering.”

The industry-focused, 12-week diploma launches in May and will help accounting graduates fast-track the completion of the core and elective modules in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) to earn their CPA designation. Courses will cover topics including advanced financial and management accounting, auditing, and taxation. Students will use case studies and work on projects that are consistent with graduate education in accounting.

CPA accreditation marks an ongoing strong and vital partnership between CPA Ontario and Ted Rogers School of Management’s School of Accounting and Finance. Graduates from the diploma program will be well-positioned to be global business leaders in accounting and will be career-ready faster.

The Professional Master’s Diploma in Accounting is one of four professional master’s diplomas offered by Ted Rogers School of Management. The other three programs are:
