Having the opportunity to partake in the Law & Business Clinic was an incredible experience I would never trade up as I was able to delve into a whole other world within the Law & Business major! Being able to finally apply what I have learned in my other classes to real life businesses was an eye-opening, invaluable experience. I was able to gain practical hands-on skills in drafting and reviewing legal documents such as IP Memorandums, Assignment of Rights, and Contractor Service Agreements. It gave me deeper knowledge and insights not just into the legal field, but also into entrepreneurship and a better understanding of the challenges and needs of start-ups.

I was able to work collaboratively with my colleague and lawyers who were able to provide really useful information that enabled us to provide our client with thorough and essential information to ensure protection for both client and business. I have gained an eye for detail and knowledge on how to analyze and identify potential risks and issues to be more proactive in my current role at KPMG. I would recommend anyone who wants to learn, grow, and gain a better understanding of law and business while building your network, to not let this opportunity be passed up. It was the best way to end my final undergraduate year at Ryerson (Now Toronto Metropolitan University)!!
