Fogler, Rubinoff is privileged to be able to participate in the Law & Business Clinic at Toronto Metropolitan University (Formerly Toronto Metropolitan University). We believe it is important to give back to our community wherever possible, and the clinic allows us the opportunity to do so for both the university community and small businesses in the GTA. This clinic is an innovative program which provides many feedback loops into both the business and legal communities. From the perspective of students, there are many benefits to the program:

• Toronto Metropolitan University students get early exposure to the practice of law, which can help them decide whether they want to pursue attending law school. This is an experience that most law students do not have until at least the summer after their first year of law school, and in most cases not until the summer after their second year of law school.
• Students also get exposure to small businesses and how they operate. Given that small businesses comprise such a large portion of the Canadian economy, this is an invaluable lesson. 
• Students also learn very practical skills about communicating with colleagues and clients in a business environment, which are lessons they will take with them for whatever profession they ultimately decide to pursue.

We congratulate Toronto Metropolitan University for the initiative it has taken with this important program, and all of the university's students and small businesses which have had the good fortune to take part in its advancement.
