Ms. Christina Sorbara

Christina Sorbara, ICD.D, is a multi-faceted business person, corporate director, strategic coach, and national team athlete. Within the multi-generational and multi-family-run Real Estate Development company, the Sorbara Group of Companies (celebrating 82 years), Christina is an organizational leadership and governance executive. Vice President of Corporate Knowledge, part of the Strategic Planning Oversight Group, Lead of Human Resources and Corporate Responsibility across all departments of the company and shareholders. She is also a Director of the Advisory Board, Chair of the HR Committee and the Chair of The Sam Sorbara Charitable Foundation (celebrating 40 years); she is actively involved with various causes in Toronto, Canada and sits on the SickKids Foundation Board, the Bannockburn School Board of Directors, President’s Executive Committee of Brown University’s Annual Fund.
Dr. Salvatore Tomaselli
Dr. Salvatore Tomaselli is an Associate Professor of Business Administration at the University of Palermo. In 2015 he was visiting professor of Family Business Strategy and Governance at the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China, where he has been Adjunct Professor since November 2021. He was visiting professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Business at the University of Zagreb, Croatia, for the period 2017-2023. A Philosophy Doctor in Business Administration from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain, Salvatore is Certified Lego Serious Play Facilitator. He also holds certifications in Steering Complex Projects (Cambridge University) and Mastering Design Thinking (MIT).
He is a Founding member and fellow of the Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA) - of which he was a member of the Board from the Foundation until 2011, and is currently the chair of the advisory fellows committee. He is a member of FFI and of the Systems Dynamics Society. He was Vice President, Delegate for Finance of the EURAM Board from 2015 to 2017. In 2016, he was co-opted as an Ordinary Member of the Real Academia Europea de Doctores (http://raed.eu), Barcelona, Spain.
He is frequently invited as a speaker at international conferences, workshops and seminars. He has worked as reviewer for international academic journals such as Family Business Review, Journal of Family Business Strategy, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior and Research. He is a member of the editorial board of familybusiness.org. Salvatore has assisted numerous family businesses and entrepreneurial families in Europe, Latin America (Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina), Asia (China, Indonesia, Myanmar, Taiwan), Middle East (Jordan), South Saharan Africa (Nigeria, Ivory Coast), and Australia.
