Insight of the Month

Each issue of 'Early Talent Insights' is based on the results of a poll shared each month with all students at the Ted Rogers School of Management. Completing the poll takes students mere seconds, but the overall analysis of the results is worth studying. Analyzed by year of study, academic program, and whether they participate in Co-op or not, each issue is guaranteed to be thought-provoking.

July 2024 Issue

This issue of Early Talent Insights examines the challenges students encounter when wishing to attend events hosted by our employer partners.

The student data clearly demonstrates that the biggest barrier to attendance is around the timing of the event. Scheduled classes, part-time work, and Co-op work terms are the primary barriers to participation. 

The analysis further highlights that students in their 1st and 2nd years of study are also feeling anxious and unprepared to meet employers. These feelings lessen as they progress towards their final year.
