What You Will Learn?  

The MS Office Specialist: Excel Associate certification will allow you to demonstrate competency in creating and managing worksheets and workbooks, creating cells and ranges, creating tables, applying formulas and functions, and creating charts and objects.

By earning this certification, you will have proven a competency at an industry associate-level and be ready to enter the job market. You can demonstrate the correct application of the principal features of Excel and can complete tasks independently.

*Please note that this pathway is not applicable for those who have already passed Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Office 2019) Certification*

As a candidate for this certification, you aspire to understand how Microsoft Power Platform technologies can be used to:

• Improve processes.
• Help drive business outcomes.

The certification is intended for you if you’re seeking to start your journey building solutions with Microsoft Power Platform.

You can use this certification to prepare for role-based or specialty certifications, but it’s not a prerequisite for any of them.

What You Will Learn?  

This certification is an opportunity for you to demonstrate knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts and related Microsoft Azure services. As a candidate for this certification, you should have familiarity with the self-paced or instructor-led learning material.

This certification is intended for you if you have both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Data science and software engineering experience are not required. However, you would benefit from having awareness of:

• Basic cloud concepts
• Client-server applications

You can use Azure AI Fundamentals to prepare for other Azure role-based certifications like Azure Data Scientist Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate, but it’s not a prerequisite for any of them.

What You Will Learn?  

As a candidate for this certification, you’re a technology professional who wants to demonstrate foundational knowledge of cloud concepts in general and Microsoft Azure in particular. This certification is a common starting point in a journey towards a career in Azure.

You can describe Azure architectural components and Azure services, such as:

• Compute
• Networking
• Storage

You can also describe features and tools to secure, govern, and administer Azure.

You should have skills and experience working with an area of IT, such as:

• Infrastructure management
• Database management
• Software development

Our refund policy is designed to maintain the integrity of our examinations while addressing specific circumstances that warrant refunds. 

Refund Eligibility:

1. Technical issue by software -  If you experience a technical issue directly caused by the Certiport Exam software that hinders your completion of the exam, we will provide you with a free retake option. If you are not available for the retake, you will be refunded (any errors conducted by the candidate do not qualify).
2. Event cancellation by organizer - If the Bootcamp Team cancels an event, due to an unforeseen circumstance,  we will work with you to reschedule. If we are unable to reschedule at a time that works for you, you will receive a full refund.

General Exclusions: 

Please note that refunds will not be provided under the following circumstances: 

1. Candidate Error: Refunds will not be granted if the technical issue is a result of candidate error 
2. Unsuccessful Exam: If you do not pass the exam, we will not refund your exam. 
3. Violation of Examination Rules: If it appears that you are not adhering to any exam testing protocols, we reserve the right to cancel and close your exam. 
4. Schedule Conflict: If you have a schedule conflict AFTER registering for a session, it is not guarenteed that your registration will be refunded.

1. No Refunds for Cancellations: 
   1. Once an exam has been purchased, we regret to inform you that we are unable to provide any refunds in the event of a cancellation request by the participant. The participant is eligible to reschedule based on availability.
2. Rescheduling: 
   1. If you are not able to attend on your scheduled exam date, you must notify the Bootcamp Team (trsmbootcamps@torontomu.ca) at least 48 hours prior to the event to learn if rescheduling your exam is an option. Note: Exam rescheduling availability is not guaranteed. 
3. No-Show: 
   1. If you miss your scheduled exam or fail to request for it to be rescheduled at least 48 hours prior to the exam date, your exam fee will be forfeited. 
4. Exceptions
   1. In extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical emergencies), we may reschedule your exam or refund the fee. Please reach out to trsmbootcamps@torontomu.ca if applicable.

In the event that you do not pass the exam, we will let you know if there are any remaining exam dates. Note: you must pay to retake the exam. 

Retake timeframes are also dependent on the number of times you have failed the Microsoft Excel Associate exam based on policies by Microsoft (external link) :

• If you don’t pass an exam the first time, you must wait 24 hours before retaking it.
• If you do not pass an exam at the second attempt, a 14-day waiting period is imposed between all subsequent attempts (up to 5).
• You may not take a given exam more than five (5) times within a 12-month period from the first attempt. If you failed the exam 5 times, you’ll be eligible to retake it again 12 months from the date of your first attempt.

If you are registered with Academic Accommodations Support (AAS) contact our team trsmbootcamps@torontomu.ca before signing up for the exam. 

In order to complete the Microsoft Excel Associate examination with an accommodation, you must first apply for an accommodation with Certiport, our exam provider. It takes 10-15 business days for Certiport to review your request and determine if you qualify for an accomodation and the nature of your accommodation.
