Tlanetia

Financial empowerment for women in Latin America.
Approximately 304 million women in Latin America do not have access to traditional financial services or financial literacy, which can act as an impediment for them to fully develop their family projects or businesses. These financial services have been designed with requirements like score, collaterals, minimum values and employment, making them unattainable for this segment of the population.
Tlanetia will offer financial empowerment for women in Latin America through a technological platform that encourages communities of women to learn about financial management, to support each other's projects and businesses, and to become financially independent. Leveraging blockchain and cryptocurrencies, women will be able to create their own decentralized communtiy banks, fund them with their collective savings, and make profit from them. All of which can be done under their own terms, and using their mobile devices.
Tlanetia was awarded a prize in the category of Most Visionary Concept at the Bitcoin hackathon sponsored by el Banco Hipoetcario from El Salvafor and other relevant blockchian-related stakeholders. Our adacious goal is to better the lives of women under vulnerable socio-economic conditions with no access to traditional financial services in El Salvador and Latin America.
