Sprinkler is a digital health startup that is developing a SaaS-based solution for social workers and behavioural therapists to reduce the administrative burden faced by service providers. Sprinkler aims to deliver the highest quality therapy while treating autism disorders.
As the prevalence of behavioural related disorders continues to climb, so has the need for service providers to be readily available. Burnout is now a diagnosable syndrome that is on the rise and one of the main factors contributing to this is the lack of technology available to support service providers with an overwhelming administrative burden.
The startup was born out of a need to fill the gap between service providers working with clients living with behavioural disorders and technology. For decades, social workers and therapists have been tracking behavioural data via paper and online spreadsheets, but as the demand for behavioural health services continues to increase, traditional methods proved to be ineffective to keep up, resulting in a high administrative burden and fewer client interactions.
The market for autism is growing rapidly in North America, with Canada now showing larger numbers due to past delays in diagnosis and a lower focus on adults past 18. More and more autism technicians are being laid off due to the Ontario Autism Program uncertainty and cutback costs, which has been further impacted by COVID-19.
This is why Sprinkler is developing software solutions to narrow the gap between technology and the behavioural health sector. Our mission is to provide service providers with high-impact software in order to deliver high-quality therapy for individuals with autism spectrum disorders. What Sprinkler delivers to this market is the ability to improve accuracy, digitize data collection, and automate data visualization making therapy more effective by eliminating the need for paper-based methods. Our software solution is committed to improving service provider workflow and meeting the demand for better software for data collection of behavioural health.
Healthcare workers are like athletes. Fans expect them to deliver quality, however, they cannot do so without the right training and infrastructure. We are here to give them the tools so that they can help deliver results.
