Gia Health helps families manage and coordinate their in-home elder care using AI.

When Edo was in high school, she was a caregiver for her grandma. Her grandma can’t see or hear well and she doesn’t speak much English. She needed a caregiver who knew the nuances of her condition and knew how to speak the language. Finding home care was a challenge, which is why Edo started Gia Health Inc. Families can go on Gia, input their care needs, get matched with a caregiver, book and message them, all on one platform.

North America’s population is aging rapidly and the health system can’t withstand it. Hospitals are burdened by people who could receive care at home, but coordinating care is stressful, managing payments is difficult and care is hard to coordinate. 

The elderly population is growing faster than the national average growth rate. If the health system is overburdened, access to emergency and urgent care will be even harder.
