Project Title: Stream Reach and Network-Scale Lake Effects on Stream Ecosystems
My research investigates how river and stream ecosystems are influenced by upstream lakes, and how lake effects attenuate with distance downstream. At broad spatial scales, I am using stream, lake, and catchment data to develop metrics of lake influence on stream flow variability and summer water temperature, and ecologically relevant watershed characteristics that will serve as predictors in stream flow and temperature class modeling.
