Shai Yeshayahu is an Associate Professor in The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University and the co-founder of VerS+, an internationally recognized research and design collaborative that investigates how data drawn from ancient, emerging, and local knowledge informs the creation of objects and space. The collaborative has designed, fabricated, and built several projects encompassing the disciplines of architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, and curatorial praxes.

Situated at the intersection of history, technology, and spatial constructs. Shai's theoretical interest is in revealing the 'origin' of 'things' while benchmarking them to the evolution of communication systems and material culture to thread dispersed historical acts. His applied research has taken a new direction, focusing on technical knitting and custom yarns to develop smart-knit prototypes and test their performative potential in the built environment.
