Internship Coordinator Joan Shaw's role is to assist students in managing their Interior Design internship experience over the four years of their Bachelor of Interior Design degree. Being a BID 2009 graduate herself, Joan is wholeheartedly dedicated to student success during the process and management of the student design internship experience. With a previous degree of Bachelor of Commerce, hospitality and residential interior design experience combined with hospitality management work experience, have contributed to Joan's success in navigating the complexities of the student internship experience. Our students are exposed to working in Interior Design and related fields on a global scale. The hands-on experience of work, designing and sourcing products, materials & finishes, technical drawings, specifications and interacting with clients and industry professionals all contribute to the enrichment of the academic experience throughout students’ SID education.
