Indigenous Langauages

This is a short version of the thanksgiving address.
Patricia Ningewance never imagined she'd one day teach Ojibway at the residential school that tried to steal the language from her.
In this video, renowned educator Patricia Ningewance reflects on her experiences teaching Anishinaabemowin in immersion settings. She recounts her first experiences teaching immersion with three other teachers, the challenges that she faced, what the experience taught her and her motivation. Throughout her reflections, Pat focuses on her personal teaching style - what she brings to her own work.
Through our ancestorial languages, knowledge comes of our origin as Human Beings and the precious gifts that were shared to us and how to use it for our prosperity.
