
Zachary Cox
Zach Cox is an active cinematographer, colourist, and teacher, who divides his time between the classroom and the field. Whether working alongside an Oscar winner or a curious student, he is always eager to discuss new technologies and their impact on visual storytelling. Zach’s work as a colourist and cinematographer has shown at TIFF and Cannes, and on networks including CBC, CTV, MuchMusic, MTV, TLN, TVO, VICE and YTV. At Toronto Met, he helped RTA transition from SD to HD and now Ultra HD. Zach's academic interests include colours narrative and metatextual functions alongside innovations in pedagogy and andragogy that inspire life-long learners.
Zach holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Media Production, both from the RTA School of Media. An ICA certified colourist, he completed Rockport College’s intensive cinematographer's residency. He recently spent two years as an Assistant Professor at the RTA School of Media.
