Dorlene Lin

Dorlene Lin is an award-winning producer with a proven ability to deliver high-quality content, on time and on budget. She is the co-owner of the production company Onestone Entertainment.

Producer, “A Dark Room”
One hour documentary about hockey, head injuries, and the impact on mental health. Distributed internationally by the National Film Board. Featured as a National Film Board “Virtual Classroom” event. Broadcast in Canada on Documentary Channel. Sold to Finland and Sweden.

Co-creator, Co-Producer, I Do…Let’s Eat!
I Do…Let’s Eat! was broadcast in Canada on Food Network Canada, and SLICE, and was a Food Network top ten rated series. It has sold to over 130 countries worldwide. The series was nominated for a 2006 Gemini Award for Best Lifestyle program.

Producer, Writer, Chinese Daughters
Won Best Documentary Short Award at The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival 2003. Nominated for the Donald Brittain Award for Best Social/Political Documentary at the 2003 Gemini Awards and a Golden Sheaf Award at the 2003 Yorkton Short Film Festival. 

Before launching Onestone Entertainment, Dorlene was a writer for CBC National Television News. Dorlene began her career on the drama side, as an Assistant Director on feature films and dramatic series. 

Dorlene is a graduate of the University of Toronto. She is a member of DOC Toronto, and served on the board from 2010 to 2013. Since 2010, Dorlene has also taught writing and documentary production in the Broadcast and Film Program, Centennial College, Toronto.
