Francis D’Souza has been a recognizable face at City for more than a decade. He began as weekend anchor and is now in the dual role of anchor and senior manager - editorial. D’Souza’s live coverage during Toronto’s G20 was recognized with a Gemini Award for best breaking reportage. He has been in the courtroom for headline making murder cases, reported on countless federal, provincial and municipal elections from across the country, provided national coverage of the Calgary  oods, was in Rome for Pope Francis’ election and in London during “the great Kate wait” - the birth of the Royal baby. Prior to joining City, Francis was an anchor with CTV in Northern Ontario and was a popular local host on Rogers Television. Francis taught broadcast journalism at Sheridan College and emcees a number of charitable galas and community events throughout the year. He also sponsors an annual post-secondary bursary to a child in the care of Peel Children’s Aid
