Doug Sellars

Doug Sellars (b. 1961 – d. 2011) was a brilliant television producer, an overwhelmingly proud Canadian, a true sports fan, and one of the kindest people you would ever know. He brought a leadership style of teamwork and balance. He was easy going, yet a leader known for his direct approach and honesty. Doug was a “listener”. After graduating from Ryerson University (now Toronto Met), he went on to be a driving force at CSN, CBC, Speed Channel and eventually FOX where he was an integral part in the formation of the Fox Sports Media Group.

He became an Executive Vice-President in 2011. To friends and family, Doug was known as a devoted husband, an incredible father and a wonderful friend. Doug was respected and loved by so many, gone far too soon, and is missed by all whose lives he touched.
