Dave Devall

After starting at CHEX-TV Peterborough, Dave Devall was selected as one of 2300 that auditioned for a position with CFTO-TV/CTV in 1961. He soon became their weatherman and served for the next 48 years, 2 months and 27 days, earning him a Guinness World Record as the world’s longest serving weatherman. Devall also announced a variety of programs ranging from music to the Miss Canada Pageant to popular game shows (Definition, Headline Hunters, etc). As a freelancer, he was corporate spokesman for Ford of Canada, Proctor and Gamble, Pepsi Cola and hosted several documentaries worldwide.

From 2006-2011, he served as Honourary Colonel of 436 Transport Squadron at Canadian Forces Base Trenton. Since retiring in 2009, he has represented Loblaws and Shoppers Drug Mart and organizes an annual charity/fundraising golf tournament. Dave Devall intends to keep busy in the communications industry and serve as many Canadian communities as possible.
