Our research lab is an active, dynamic group of postdoctoral fellows,
graduate students and research assistants.

We work hard to maintain a culture that's rich in diversity, collaboration and discovery.
If you’re interested in furthering research within the field of food science, consider joining our team!

Who Should Consider Joining

Our members come from a wide array of academic backgrounds – chemistry, physics, biomedicine and other branches of science. Whatever the area of study, each member brings a unique perspective and approach to food and soft materials research.

Aside from academics, successful members have a high degree of openness, a willingness to learn and the ability to work well in a dynamic environment.

What Can You Expect?

Once you join the group, you’ll have access to cutting edge instruments in a state-of-the-art facility, located at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Centre for Urban Innovation (CUI).

There, you’ll work with food scientist Dr. Dérick Rousseau and gain exposure to a wide range of research areas. After working with our team, many alumni have gone on to pursue specialized careers in academia, government and industry.
