Fawad Baig

Retail Industry Leader for Canada, Accenture

Fawad has spent the past decade working with leading retailers in Canada as part of his consulting role at Deloitte. Fawad managed the consumer products digital vertical for Deloitte Canada and was the relationship lead for Deloitte Canada’s largest retail account

As of late Fawad has been building digital commerce for retailers that range Click&Collect to Loyalty. Responsible for leading digital conversations for Deloitte’s consumer products industry, Fawad works with clients to help build momentum and buy-in on innovative next generation concepts like voice and artificial intelligence and hiring practices like extreme recruiting. With past experiences that range retail strategy, to operations, Fawad brings a holistic perspective and loves thinking about and delivering the future of retail in Canada.

It is this passion and excitement for the future, the disruption and innovation in the industry, and the ability to create change for the consumer that has led Fawad to accept a position with the school of Retail Management at Toronto Metropolitan University – “I see it as an opportunity to share experiences that can help transform traditional retail and create the retail leaders of tomorrow”. As an alumni it is also a way of giving back to the school that played an immense role in shaping Fawad as a leader but was also instrumental in creating the right experience for Fawad when he joined TMU as a full time employee after graduating from the school of Computer Science.
