Sarah Kriger

Educated in drama and mathematics at Queen’s University and a recent graduate
of the University of Toronto’s Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science
and Technology, Sarah Kriger wrote her doctoral dissertation on technologies of
illusion used on the stages of Victorian London. Her research explores scientific
demonstrations, magicians’ apparatuses, and theatrical special effects.

Sarah is excited to continue her career at Toronto Metropolitan University and looks forward to teaching its diverse and talented student body. She aspires to engage her students through interactivity in the classroom.

In addition to her academic experience, Sarah also owns an event-planning small
business, writes fiction for publication, and collaborates with Toronto’s Socratic
Theatre Collective.
