Glen Norton received his PhD in Social and Political Thought from York University in 2010, with a concentration in Cinema Studies. His research interests include European film history, phenomenological and existential philosophy, and digital curation. Before his career as an academic he worked professionally as a writer and editor, most notably at the Toronto International Film Festival in the early 2000s. He is currently working on a manuscript charting the link between phenomenological temporality and the embodiment of existential ethics in Italian Neorealist, Post-Neorealist and French New Wave cinema. Since 1996 he has curated Cinema=Godard=Cinema, an online hub for academic information and discussion about the work of Jean-Luc Godard.
