Pamela Palmater named one of “Top 100 most influential people to watch in 2021” - Hill Times

The Hill Times has named Dr. Pamela Palmater (opens in new window)  one of the "Top 100 most influential people to watch in 2021."  The citation reads:

Pam Palmater, Mi’kmaq lawyer, professor, activist: The chair in Indigenous governance at Ryerson University in Toronto, is a regular political commentator, called on to discuss Canadian law and Indigenous rights in a year that started with rail blockades by some First Nations and ended with non-Indigenous fishermen attacking First Nation fisheries in Nova Scotia. She’s a strong voice whose presence has also had an impact on the Hill, last Parliament with the passage of Bill S-3 to end sex discrimination in the Indian Act, and likely will be a leading voice again with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples bill on the docket.
