Fallon Simard is an artist, educator and policy writer registered at Couchiching First Nation in Grand Council Treaty #3 Territory. He is an interdisciplinary artist, a research fellow at the Yellowhead Institute, a policy analyst at the Chiefs of Ontario, and the owner of Contrary Company. His professional appointments enable research into multidisciplinary fields that inform and draw from one another. Fallon Simard's research-creation aims to co-design community-led workshops with a research advisory committee. The workshops aim to enable Indigenous communities to self-design curriculums, software, and expressions that meet their unique needs. Currently, Fallon is gaining the skills to teach UI-UX design and researching Indigenous decolonial participatory-co-developed-enabled design practices to inform these workshops.
