Calvin's research interests are located in the broad field of media architecture. His dissertation research draws from the notion of placemaking, specifically focusing on community engagement in presenting public art through location-based augmented reality assets. This project seeks to amplify perspectives, operating as means for communities to speak for themselves rather than be spoken for in arts intervention.
