ANANSI V. GOD(s) by Paul Smith

The gods need new stories and a certain spider is chosen to collect the best ones from humanity. But when a student’s journal is published online, man and myth must team up to regain control of their character and balance the scales. Inspired by West-African folklore and stories of the Bible, ANANSI v. GOD(s) is a 3-part parable that reminds humans and gods alike how to stay true to yourself, stay true to your story, and prepare for the end of the world.

Ice/berg by Deivan Steele

The Port Elizabeth Theatre Festival in smalltown Ontario is only two days away from opening its new adaptation of Frankenstein when the show's lead actor quits. Even as the remaining actors stumble their way to opening night, an unexpected addition to the group might just unravel a web of secrets that threatens everyone in the company. From playwright Deivan Steele comes a sharp new ensemble comedy about how we redefine ourselves and who we become in the face of change.
