Kole Durnford (he/him) is a Metis actor, playwright, composer and artist born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Kole aims to be a part of new and exciting stories that focus on the voices of young people.

While at Toronto Metropolitan University, Kole originated the role of Kostya (Konstantin) in Cole Lewis’ new adaption of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, in partnership with Tarragon Theatre. In addition, Kole has performed as a clown, an imaginary friend in Kat Sandler’s Mustard, and Friar Laurence in Romeo and Juliet. Kole has had the opportunity to train with the likes of Tim Welham, Nicola Correia-Damude, Ivan Sherry, Iqbal Khan, Sheldon Rosen and Leah Cherniak.

Outside of Toronto Metropolitan University, Kole is originating the role of Gregory Green in Mixtape Production’s new musical, Killing Time. Kole has written two plays, ECHO and BABYECHO will be featured at the Theatre Centre in spring 2022 for the Terra Firma festival.

Kole is extremely grateful and excited to be given the opportunity to forge a career in the arts, and to continue growing as an artist and a person.
