Andrew McWilliams
Chair, Department of Chemistry & Biology; Vice-Chair of Senate
Dr. Andrew McWilliams is the Department of Chemistry and Biology Chair and Vice-Chair of the 2021-22 Senate. Andrew is also a member of the Council of Ontario Universities Academic Colleagues where he has had the opportunity to learn the importance of listening to indigenous colleagues from across the province. Andrew believes that by working together we can extend the rafters in order to create a welcoming learning environment that both respects and interweaves traditional ways of knowing into curriculums. He believes changing the name of the institution is a vital step in this process.
