Empowering Women in Academia | From Science to Social Change: Building Networks, Leveraging Privilege, and Finding Courage in Academia
Join the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, for an inspiring lunch as part of the Empowering Women in Academia at TMU speaker series. Imogen Coe, a leading scientist, scholar-activist, and advocate for equity in research and academia will give the talk today. Screening of STEADFAST: The messenger and the message
DMZ Sandbox is thrilled to invite TMU community members to the screening of "STEADFAST - The Messenger and the Message". The documentary tells the remarkable story of The Honourable Dr. Jean Augustine, a trailblazing politician, social justice activist and educator. Directed by Fahim Hamid Ali, "STEADFAST - The Messenger and the Message" chronicles the life journey of Jean Augustine from Grenada, who was the first African-Canadian female Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister elected to Canada's House of Commons in 1993.
