Community members are welcome to attend any of the three town halls on TMU’s 2025-26 budget.

The Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, and the University Planning Office are committed to leading an open and consultative budget process to establish Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) priorities for the next fiscal year.

As such, the following in-person and virtual budget town hall consultations have been scheduled to give the TMU community an opportunity to provide input and to gain a better understanding of the current context, opportunities and economic challenges in planning for the 2025-26 academic year:

  • Town hall #2
    Date: Monday, March 17, 2025
    Time: 1:15 - 2:15 p.m.
    Location: POD366, Podium
  • Town hall #3
    Date: Tuesday, March 18, 2025
    Time: 4 - 5 p.m.
    Location: KHW375, Kerr Hall

All community members are encouraged to attend one of the above meetings to learn more about how TMU will approach budgeting for the 2025-26 academic year and to provide input. No registration/RSVP is required.

Guiding principles

At TMU, we adhere to five guiding principles when preparing the annual budget:

  1. Prioritize students;
  2. Protect TMU’s core business;
  3. Be fair and transparent;
  4. Remain forward-looking; and
  5. Conduct wide consultations with the community.

Questions can be submitted in advance to budget@torontomu.ca. For more information, please visit the university’s budget website.

Thank you in advance for your ongoing commitment to the university and for engaging in this important process.
