Orientation Week has come and gone but the memories will last a lifetime.

To welcome this year’s 11,000 new students, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) pulled out all the stops, offering more than 100 Orientation Week events including street festivals, concerts, game nights and crafts. The events allowed students to create connections, make friends and familiarize themselves with their new campus and community.

Check out some of the best moments from Orientation, which ran from August 25 to 30.

The Black Student Mixer invited Black students to the Kerr Hall Quad for games, snacks and drinks in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was one of several Orientation Week events specially designed for students to connect with peers and bond over shared experiences. The week also included a first-generation student dance workshop, a mature students trivia night, a women of colour garden party and an afternoon of fun and self-care for students with disabilities.
