Search process underway for dean, Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science

A search committee for the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science will be established in keeping with the university’s policy.
Tom Duever will be completing his second and final term as dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) on January 31, 2025.
In keeping with the university’s policy for the Appointment of Academic Administrators (AAA policy), I am writing to announce that a search committee will be established for the dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science.
The formation of the committee and the subsequent search will adhere to TMU’s policies and procedures and will reflect best practices on equity, diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and access.
Members of the respective academic units who are eligible to nominate and vote for members of the search committee will receive further information regarding important dates and nominations directly from the Senate Office.
Tom joined TMU in 2014 and is a highly respected senior academic administrator and accomplished researcher and teacher known for his collegiality, as well as his approachable and supportive leadership style. I would like to thank Tom for his dedication and commitment to the university over his two terms as dean.
