Due to unforeseen circumstances, the university has made the difficult decision to not admit new students to programs at TMU-Cairo. As a university that is committed to extending a high-quality, student-centred education to a larger international audience, this was a very difficult decision to make.

Senior leaders from TMU are in Egypt to meet with the 39 students who are currently enrolled to hear their concerns, and to determine the best pathways to ensure that they are able to continue and complete their education.

This decision does not affect the DMZ Cairo, which is successfully operating. The DMZ is working with high-potential tech entrepreneurs in Egypt, providing them with access to workspace, programming, mentorship, and the North American startup ecosystem.

We are actively working with our partner and government stakeholders in Egypt and in Canada, and I will keep you informed as this situation develops.
