The farmers market will bring fresh produce and delicious food every Monday all summer.

As we get closer to those lazy, hazy days of summer, the spring semester, filled with exams and winter coats, is slowly fading away. The pandemic fog is lifting and although we may not be in the clear just yet, we can at least throw on our sandals and head to the park to soak in some sun.

If you’re heading to campus this summer, there’s plenty to do here as well! From Pride events to the farmers market, there’s no way you’ll be bored.

Pride this month will be in-person for the first time in two years!

Pride
After more than two years of virtual Pride celebrations, Positive Space is launching a series of in-person Pride Month events grounded in the theme of community and reconnection. The in-person kick-off will take place on June 1 at noon at the Student Learning Centre and will include remarks by Provost Jennifer Simpson, Vice-Provost Jen McMillen, OVPECI Executive Director Darrell Bowden and others. A series of events throughout June includes weekly community drop-in picnics on the quad, a film series, in-person social mixer in the village and more.

Convocation
Convocation will also be taking place in person at the Mattamy Athletic Centre for the first time in two years! This is an important milestone for students to celebrate successful years of study and dedication. Check out this year’s ceremony schedule, graduate checklist and FAQ on the Convocation website.

If you have applied to graduate, you can apply to attend your ceremony today – check out the convocation website for more details. Faculty and staff can also visit the website to learn more about academic procession, family presentations and volunteering.
