Register for the Financial Literacy (FinLit) series, where you will explore the Library’s collection and evaluate relevant material to help navigate the wealth of information on budgeting, banking, saving, credit and personal finances. The workshop series is open to all Ryerson University students.

Too often companies in the hospitality and tourism industry are being used as unwitting perpetrators of human trafficking around the world. Join us at the Ted Rogers School of Management to hear the story of how Blue Mountain Resorts was involved in a human trafficking ring and the lessons they learned once it was discovered.

At a workshop offered by Student Learning Support, students can get help to manage their study environments and distractions. The workshop will look at the impact of mobile devices and social media on study sessions.

Jack Layton Leadership School
Wednesday, February 19 – Friday, February 21
Over two days, the Jack Layton Leadership School will work with community members and faculty to engage in social justice issues through story telling, creative arts workshops, panel discussions, lectures and community tours. Students are encouraged to register for the chance to network with leaders and work on a shared vision and commitment to social justice.
Supernova 1987A: Still Amazing Three Decades Later!

In all of recorded history, just six supernova explosions have been witnessed in our galaxy of over a hundred billion stars, making them one of the rarest phenomena in the universe. Ian Shelton discovered the brightest supernova since the invention of the telescope. On the 33rd anniversary of his discovery, he explains in simple language what makes supernovae so important.
Black Arts, Culture and Heritage Panel and Performance

The event will discuss the status of Black creativity and showcase the work of Black scholars, artists and community members.
