How Ryerson researchers are transforming lives
You may have seen some eye-catching ads featuring Ryerson researchers in the Globe and Mail and online this fall. The ads are all part of a comprehensive reputation campaign to build greater awareness of Ryerson’s research strengths, their scope and impact on society.
“Reputation campaigns are a critical means to build broader awareness of Ryerson’s strengths and its exciting trajectory,” says Jennifer Grass, assistant vice-president, university relations. “We want to inspire people and organizations to connect with the transformative work taking place here.”
The University Relations marketing team worked with Toronto-based advertising agency, No Fixed Address, to develop an integrated plan that shows how Ryerson researchers are transforming everyday life through their work.
Featured stories of researchers from across the university show how the Ryerson community is challenging the status quo by applying new ways of thinking in artificial intelligence, biomedical science, technology adoption, urban innovation, and immigration and settlement for social change.
The creative material is designed to help communicate to the audience the importance of these innovative solutions be it improved quality of life, social change or ventures, or new companies, products and jobs. The campaign uses compelling visual metaphors to help set Ryerson apart from other post-secondary education advertising.
The ads are appearing in print editions of the Globe & Mail and the Hill Times (Ottawa), transit shelters in Toronto and Ottawa, digital display banners on globeandmail.com and partner sites which include The Guardian, Wired, INC., Forbes, Fast Company and Wall Street Journal, as well as social channels Facebook and LinkedIn.
