- Date
- March 20, 2018
- Time
- 6:00 PM EDT - 7:00 PM EDT

Join us for a special event! We’re bringing together both the president and the provost from Ryerson University to talk about their origins in North Africa. President Mohamed Lachemi was born in Algeria where he began his education before coming to Canada to continue his academic career. As a child, the provost Michael Benarroch emigrated from Morocco to Canada where he and his siblings were the first in the family to pursue post-secondary education. Hear the stories of these two leading academics and how their roots shaped their careers. Hosted by Ryerson's Middle East & North Africa Studies Centre on Tuesday, March 20, the conversation will focus on how their roots have shaped Ryerson’s two senior leaders. The event will take place in the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre, Room ENG-103 at 6:00 p.m. (doors open at 5:45 p.m.) Don’t miss this opportunity, register for the event (external link) before March 14, 2018. |
