The American Association of Geographers held its Annual General Meeting in Hawaii, while one of the smaller local events known as nodes was organized at the University of Toronto. Sarah Hoyos-Hoyos, a Research Technician in Data Science, provided an overview of the MEMO project with a detailed explanation of the project goals, the types of migration drivers examined, and the geospatial methodologies used. She also highlighted the research and community partners involved in the project. Her presentation was entitled, "Complex Migration Flows and Multiple Drivers in Comparative Perspective (MEMO): Rethinking Migration Systems Through a Multi-Dimensional Approach – Overview."
