Statement regarding motor vehicle incident on campus

This afternoon on Nelson Mandela Way, a pedestrian area of the TMU campus near Jorgenson Hall, pedestrians were struck by a vehicle which did not remain on scene. 

Our thoughts are with those who have been injured and impacted by this incident. We remind our community members that university support services are available for those who need them. We are grateful to the fast response provided by TMU’s Community Safety and Security team, first responders, and Toronto Police Service. 

A police investigation is underway and we would encourage any community members with details about the incident to contact Toronto Police Service at 416-808-5100.
