Monika Matel-Sousa is a seasoned and forward-thinking professional with over 27 years of public service. Monika’s leadership has been instrumental in achieving measurable outcomes in operational efficiency and project delivery timelines for the City of Toronto. As the Director of Enterprise Solutions Services within the Technology Services Division at the City of Toronto, Monika leads a diverse portfolio of 103 enterprise solutions driving operational excellence and aligning technology strategies with the City of Toronto’s objectives. Monika has earned several awards, including the 2024 Gold Star Recognition for IT Emergency Response to Software Global Outage, City of Toronto City Manager Award, the 2017 GOT IT Employee Award for Leadership, and the 2015 Above & Beyond Performance Award, recognizing her contributions to innovation and service delivery. Monika is the Co-Chair of the Women in Technology Network (WITNet), where she champions diversity and inclusion within the tech industry.
